Dont worry lol, your biggest worry is not of yourself probably but what would happen to your 5 girls if something was to happen to you, lucky for you living in this day and age is a blessing and 90% of illness's can be cured.

I empathise with you. It is normal to be anxious undeer these trying circumstances. I hope that the results of your tests come through quickly and then you will feel better.

I went through a similar ordeal a couple of months ago and nothing could pacify me until I got the results which were good , no cancer. Phew!!

First of all you have to keep a saint mind until the results are out. I hope it's nothing bad,but even if it is,it can be cured really easily,it's one of the most curable ones. I don't wanna say the word! Talk about it to your husband, discuss it,he shall make you feel better. Even if it's that, I think the panic attack happened for a reason then. Keep us updated and good luck with your exams!

Even people with Anxiety can get things wrong with them.

What worries me is if Sufferers Cry Wolf so many times what happens when Medical Professionals turn to the patient and ask, could this be Anxiety and not perform tests ?.

    Just a thought ?

    Hi again Jody

I personally found talking to people helped. When you talk it can have a carthartic effect.

This works for some people. Other ways of keeping sane whilst awaiting any test or resuts of tests is by using distraction techniques , mindfullness, cbt, meditation as these techniques can change the brain chemistry and set up new neural paythways that provide positive reinforcement and positive thinking .

You were quite right in having these tests done of course but it is worth remembering that all tests pproduce similar feelings of concern. Once the uncertainty is addressed then you will start to feel better. I think focusing on that point alone will go a long way to helping you.

Dr are usually good at ordering tests for lumps etc so I do not think that people should be afraid of approaching a qualified medical practitioner at all .

The good dr will recognise the genuine need for tests or reassurance.

    Take care.

Well said and yes right now need distractions for sure my mind is going nuts and that's not good for my girls to pick up on.Im thankful I addressed the lump and finally my doctor could see and the look on his face said it all!!!!!

Yes indeed. A good dr will recognose these things and act speedily.

      !!!!

Now just bide your time until you get your results. Try to ring the hospital or surgery to try to find out when the results will reach you.

Children are normally good at adapting. If you could explain that you are feeling under the weather due to say a cold they will not worry too much.

Presumably they ae at an age when a simple explanation is acceptable rather than them picking up the vibes then coming up with their own theories about what has changed.

Sometimes a little white lie may be in order to allay any possible worry.
