Anxiety attack at night due to my insomnia !!

I am at my wit, I have been insomnia for about 5 years now  it all started because I had a bully boss at work , and I guess got used to sleep very little after that . I sleep about 1/4 hours a night, every night if I am lucky it will be 4 hours .

I have tried , pills, acupuncture, hypnotising, scents etc.. I became depressed and had a breakdown due to my tiredness and also very conscious that my memory is starting to get affected and found learning something new very hard ,  I dont have the energy to do much nowadays , I go to work and that is it as I am too tied to socialise and go to the gym, I used to love exercise but can’t be bother now .

A few months ago I stayed overnight at  a sleeping clinic to monitor my sleep , I had wires all over my body and a camera , this is to make sure it wasn’t something else. The result was that I slept 1 hour and 48 minute in all , they said that my breathing, movement , ect.. is all good  and this insomnia  is psychological , tell me something I don’t know . They told me to take anti-depressant which I am not keen on and CBT .

They also recommend me this book “ OVERCOMING INSOMIA AND SLEEP PROBLEMS” by Colin A.Espie , it is a very good book with great tips but it hasn’t really help me , I had a couple of sessions of CBT still doing it but so far my sleep is still the same. The last couple of nights I had panic attacks in bed , as anyone had this ? I think for me is because I am so frustrated I cant sleep that I am getting anxious and to top it all I have a frozen shoulder GREAT!

This is a nightmare as I used to be a very good sleeper .
