My anxiety has been sooooo good for the last few months, it eased from about February but over the past week it has come back big time, we were at the a wedding at the weekend and I got very drunk (stupid of me) but I was trying to block out my anxiety, since then I have felt dreadful, my 10month old is teething so he is up most of the night but when I do eventually get over to street I have bad dreams, I am on 20mg of citlaopram, needing be a lot of reassurance this week (again hasn't happened in a long time), has this happened to anyone else ????

Hi,when i drink,i know the next day my anxiety is doubled. Maybe still from drinking on the weekend? Maybe the meds cause the bad dreams? I know some can. Besides a teething baby can also caus stress. Hope you feel better soon. Try and calm down, easier said then done right? I am always stressed about something.

Actually, alcohol is a depressant.  It can, if overdone, cause very real symptoms of anxiety until it is out of your body.  Be kind to yourself and limit your drinking.  Then, the next week you can thank yourself for thinking you were worth not getting drunk for.  This, too, shall pass.
