Anxiety "Blip" or so it seems....

Good afternoon from Canada,
Thanks in advance for reading this post, I'm getting pretty bummed out about this Anxiety speed bump or so it seems. So a quick back story, I am a high school vice-principal (14-18yo kids) and have just finished the year on an exhausted note. The COVID impacts made this year, well, memorable from a stress perspective.
So I get to the finish line and all of a sudden I am hit with a wave of physical symptoms including:
Dizziness
Nausea
GI issues (diarrhea/constipation/gassiness)
Muscle tension
Profuse sweating for no reason
Went to my GP, all lines up for an anxiety/panic disorder diagnosis. All bloodwork and other physical tests have ruled out anything more "sinister" (even though I wouldn't describe this as a picnic). So here's the ask: anyone get these symptoms with their anxiety AND does your anxiety flare up with stress? My guess is yes & yes but would like to hear from someone 😃.
My goal to prepare for next school year is to take the time, get some physical activity every day, do some meditation every day and I have initiated social work to go over some CBT with me as well (saw/heard lots of very traumatic things) and since stress is cumulative, it feels that I am now paying my "tab" from the year.
Hope that all makes sense, thanks again for taking the time to read, this is a great forum!

Hi Matt,
I hope you're doing well. Congratulations on finishing the year, it has been very tough with Covid! Sorry to hear you're experiencing all these symptoms, I experience these symptoms as well as a pounding chest, palpitations shakes, loss of appetite, feeling sick, feeling on edge etc..I have been dealing with anxiety for 18 years now, and only realised what it was 4/5 years ago due to health professionals! So there was a lot to figure out and work on, and I'm still in the process. I have come to learn my anxiety symtpoms can come on due to specific triggers, or if I'm in a situation where I am uncomfortable or around certain people, it also comes on (subconciously) without me realising when i am getting sick or in pain. When it comes on suddently its the worst because as you said its like paying a tab. Its great you are thinking ahead, therapy is always a great one, and theres many different types aswell. I go to the gym and would like to start Yoga too! Which I think will help with relaxation, and also I spend time with my family when things are really bad and they help lift me up. I am still trying to unpack certain things which have taken longer to deal with, but with hope and consistency it can be done. I wish you the best of luck with your goals before school starts back! 😃 here if you want to chat more. B x
