Anxiety causing light sleep

So for the last month I’ve been having trouble sleeping. 2-3 weeks ago I was at my lowest point and couldn’t sleep at all without the help of xanax. That has run its course, now I can sleep but it’s very minimal. Only around 2-3 hours total and it’s not the deepest sleep, I’m having very vivid dreams, which is the only reason I know I’m sleeping. Has anyone else dealt with this?

I do not take it anymore. I refused to take it more than 2 days in a row as well due to its properties. Was prescribed it for 21 days and only took it for 16

I think drugs such as these are best avoided as they tend to cause more problems than they solve.

Has your dr suggested techniques such as Mindfullness, yoga, relaxation techniques, cbt, etc to help?

Anxiety is a very debilitating condition that manifests itself in many ways but drugs tend to make it much worse unfortunately. I would suggest yoga as it has recently been found to be a useful tool to treat anxiety. Hope this helps. x

My anxiety gives me bad dreams that I can’t shake. Every night it’s a different one and I wake up sweating and scared but also relief. Hang in there and stay off of Xanax, had a family member die from overdose.
