Anxiety - Fast heart beat and flutters

Just wondering if anybody else runs a fast heart beat. I recently had a heart monitor put on and my average bpm were 99. Every time I check my pulse its 100-115. I also sometimes feel flutters in my heart, pains  and the pounding feeling in my chest.  The ECG in the heart monitor only showed my fast heartbeat which the doctor says is in the great  concern. I'm going to push for further testing and find why I'm having all these symptoms even when my anxiety isn't bad.

I’m assuming that you meant the doctor wasn’t concerned about your fast heart rate.

If you have anxiety, the heart rate increases and even the rate over 100 is common and not dangerous. It’s caused by adrenaline your brain releases and will be used up.

Flutters, pounding, skipped beats and even pain are very common with Anxiety..

Anxiety Symptoms can occur ANYTIME, even when you don’t feel  anxious .

You can get further testing, but don’t be surprised when it comes out normal.

Ive been through this for many years and learned that anxiety can mimic more serious conditions and that’s why people get scared.  With anxiety, the symptoms are not the problem. Unmanaged anxiety is the problem which leads to the symptoms.

The symptoms are the body’s way of telling you that there is too much stress.

Speaking to a counselor often helps.  Listen to meditations on you tube for anxiety.

    Feel better!,🌸🌸🌸😁

Thank you. Yes I did mean isn't. I agree with you, I do think it's all anxiety related but just want to get checked to make sure. I do talk to counslor which helps as well as walking a lot. So hopefully these symptoms will go away or not he as bad now that I'm feeling better.

Do you excercise regularly? It could help you lower your resting heart rate and maybe help your anxiety too. I feel like the most common anxiety symptom is heart related. My first anxiety attack my HR was about 185 and for a while I worried about my heart. Had multiple ekgs, wore a heart monitor, had a stress test. Anxiety sucks and it’s hard to tell what’s what but I feel like what you’re feeling is fairly common.

I was walking in the evenings and on breaks at work. I found that helped. Now with the colder weather and darker evenings I don't get out as much but my goal is to start again.  Did your heart rate get better ?

My anxiety is at its lowest when I’m physically active. Yes my resting heart rate went from 80s to high 60s. You become more comfortable with the heart racing when you become more active. You kind of give your mind an excuse for your daily aches and pains from activity. Your heart is a muscle and with excercise gets stronger and healthier. Excercise really helps many I know, it’s like another form of therapy. Especially in the winter time now when it’s getting dark early and the weather isn’t as pleasant and my anxiety is worse.

I’ve recently gone through a host of different injuries that have limited my time in the gym, quite sad actually because although I’m by no means out of shape or unathletic looking people I meet look back at my instragram from as recently as 6 months ago and go “dude you used to be jacked” lol..
