Anxiety intrusive thoughts maybe ocd?

Ok so here goes please dont judge

So 3/4 weeks ago i have a trivial memory pop up as a child and caused me to have gad very badly

So 3 weeks ago i started sertraline 50mg then went to 100mg after a week im just about to start my 4th week im wondering if this can have caused ocd?

I had a terrible thought on monday morning about touching my sons genitals hes 5 it made me shake highly anxious and felt very sick i no i wouldnt do it i wash him in the shower etc but would never touch him like this and makes me feel sick when it pops into my head! I no ocd can cause this and i have a doctors appointment tomorrow and cbt thursday just so worried 😩 even thought there thoughts and id never act on them anyone ever had this?

    Hi,

    I was on sertraline but couldn't get on with it,very tired and light headed. GP put me on fluoxetine, seems better for me.

    When we get flashbacks while on meds I don't think we should be judgemental of ourselves never mind others, it's our brains we are medicating after all.

      I had the memory before the tablets but is the thoughts i get now im on them they care me but will speak to my doctor tomorrow im guessing cbt will help with them

    You could discuss your fears at CBT and explain your fears, I feel it is all to do with Anxiety. So ask the nurse how she feels about the change of medication

      Its my doctor who i have to see tomorrow not a nurse, but i shall discuss everything with cbt and yes possibly all anxiety related but its horrible, thanks for your reply
