ive been through a stressful 2 years. i lost custody of my oldest child. I had a baby 7 months ago. I lost my dad 3 months ago and a close friend a month ago. Ive always been an anxious person and suffered with health anxiety and panic attacks. though now ive been struggling with depression.
I ve been feeling off for the past month. Ive had constant anxiety for the last 5 days with back to back panic attacks without feeling normal in between. I just left the ER for the 4th time in the last month. got checked for blood clot and heart attack all was normal yet I still feel like I cant breath and im light headed 24/7. How can this be anxiety? im litterally driving myself crazy with irrational fears of a blood clot. i walk around with a pulse oximeter. i check my blood pressure 20x times a day. im worried about my heart rate being in the 50s at rest. but everyone says its anxiety. I must be going crazy. I cry all the time because its controlling my life. i need words of encouragement. tell me this will pass and these symptoms are just anxiety!!

Tiffany this will pass! But the sooner you calm yourself down the faster it will pass.
you do not have a blood clot you have already been checked. Did you know that shortness of breath and dizziness are very common symptoms of anxiety?
When you walk around with the pulse oximeter and check your blood pressure 20 times a day and worry about your heart rate you are actually causing this to continue. You are telling your brain that something is wrong and this is only going to make your symptoms feel worse.
You need to stop doing all of this or you’ll just be miserable all the time. There is nothing wrong with you except unmanaged anxiety and stress.i’ve been through the same thing. Many times.
ive I had anxiety for over 30 years and I can tell you I’ve had numerous symptoms including shortness of breath and dizziness plus many more! They never did any harm to me. I had to learn how to manage my anxiety and now I feel a lot lot better! The more I worried, the worse the symptoms got.
you should be very happy that you’re resting heart rate is in the 50s! That’s a great number! That’s a number that athletes who are in sheep have. It means that your body does not have to work too hard to pump blood throughout your body. That means your heart is in great shape! I am a former nurse and I know this for a fact. That’s awesome.
instead of worry and being fearful, do something positive for yourself so that everything settles down. Get on YouTube and listen to some relaxing meditations specifically made for anxiety. Also, there is a specific meditation for breathing that would really be helpful for you. It’s called don’t panic. It is in black bold letters . she will guide you through it and when it’s finished, your breathing will feel back to normal and you will feel very calm.! breathe! Slow down! Remember, be positive and know that you are absolutely fine. Take care

The heart rate is im 34 and overweight thats why im concerned. i just want to feel normal the last 3 days have by far been the worse!! Im tired of feeling like im dying. im tired of being scared that im going to leave my babies motherless. I just wish I didnt have a single doubt that it isnt anxiety. Im so tired of getting ailments if its not one thing its another to constantly focus on. I just want my life back!

is there anyway you can get counseling for this? If so I highly encourage you to check into it. It’s really difficult sometimes to try to do this alone because we tend to overthink and it ends up being a vicious circle. A counselor can help you sort all of this out.

I do need to see a therapist, watching some of the deep meditation video ive realized that I am holding my breath alot unknowingly. I wonder if that is the cause of my symptoms as of right now. now its just figuring out how to get it to stop.

Hello Tiffany
I can really relate to a lot of the things that you said. I've been taking my BP 10/15 times a day, along with blood oxygen, temperature and pulse. I've convinced myself that something is wrong and feel dreadful constantly lately. Mine started, this time after I felt a bit lightheaded while driving my car about a week ago. Since then I've convinced myself that I'm ill.
Like you, I've had a lot of stress over the last 4 years. Family deaths, the breakdown of a relationship with a man I really loved and who I thought would always be there for me, the threat of redundancy and looking after my elderly and unwell mother have all taken a massive toll on me.
I'm looking for answers and help too. I don't know that I can offer much in advice but I just wanted you to feel not so alone.
