Anxiety is the worst

I post on here a lot, but today I just need to vent lol.

I'm so sick of the physical symptoms of anxiety!! I've dealt with anxiety for years now, and I think I do handle it pretty well for the most part. I see a therapist and read books, etc. and it all helps. But when will the dang physical symptoms stop -_-

I'm so sick of having chest pains, or dizzyness, or trouble sleeping, stomach issues, headaches, random itchiness, muscle tension, or worrying about something weird my body is doing and if I'm dying lol. It's so annoying and exhausting, I just want to have a normal body that functions normally!!! -___-

I don't even FEEL anxious 80% of the time lately, but yet my chest will hurt or ill feel itchy all over for no reason, or I'll have tension headaches. ARGHH!

Anyone else sick of it? -_-

    U just described me philly

I’ve been having panic attacks and health anxiety  for 15 years. I go thru periods where it’s under control and period like now where it’s hell. I have 2 small kids and work

Yesterday I had the worst panic attack: chest pressure , my hands started buzzing and shacking , heart beating so fast. I was driving and thought it was the end

I also had the itchy ness all over my body last week. That’s a new one 🙄

Usually it’s lightheadedness, chest pressure, head pressure ..

I see a therapist but seems like I’ll never get past this. People on the outside would never think I’m going thru this bc my life seems perfect but I’m going thru hell.

    Wish I could be normal

I know it's so tough sometimes =/ I try to take advantage and enjoy the good days as much as possible, and then when I'm having my bad days I just reinforce that it is not forever and it'll pass! It has gotten a lot better and easier over time, but it's just so tiring sometimes -_-

I found most ofy physical symptoms reduced when I finally accepted that I was getting them as part of my anxiety and just let them ride out. Which sounds counter productive I know..

I've had anxiety since I was 12 but the bulk of my physical symptoms happened a few years back and lasted about 2 years. I did a third round of CBT, read books again and decided after a number of tests and scans etc that I was tired of going to the doctor all the time to be told the same thing.

So I accepted my situation. I stopped googling every single thing, I accepted the pins and needles, nausea etc. And I practiced mindfulness each time I got them, reminding myself "Hey Anxiety, nice of you to give me a ....insert symptom....today." Slowly over time they're getting less and less.

Hi caz, I agree I have been trying to just almost ignore the symptoms and just deal with them. It's just so annoying tho -_- I always get that tight neck muscle feeling, esp right under my jaw line and chin, it's so uncomfortable!

I hear you. I get the tight sore neck and shoulder alot, less so under my jaw but I do grind my teeth alot, particularly in my sleep. So the from teeth are slightly worn and o suffer a deviated palate. It pops sometimes when I yawn x

Ouchh! =( Mine just seems to be more in my jaw area at my moment, but I did have terrible neck tension on the back of my head a few months ago. Had to use a heating pad every night to help sooth it, it was soooo uncomfortable!

Yep same! When I slept i didn't have it, that's how I knew it was just anxiety bc it came back as soon as I woke up lol. And when I was distracted it would lessen also.
