Anxiety is the worst ever.

Anyone the same as me. Im 62 postmenopausal. Fed up feeling anxious. Never been on hrt because doctors wouldnt put me on, because my mother had breats cancer. Been on antidepressants for 9 years. They worked for a start but now i get anxiety again not all the time, but it comes on for no reason just out the blue. I sure it my hormones. Hate it. Is there anyone at my age thats on HRT and feeling good. Id love to know.

    same scenario. i am 65 and post menopausal and going through something that is debilitating. light headed, nauseated, weakness in arms and legs, jittery. i am awaiting results from various tests which i get this week. im scared. is it physical or mental, i dont know. i wondered if it was hormonal and from all the specialists ive seen, none want to say its hormonal. its not advisable to go on hrt at my age and especially because my mom had breast cancer. the docs wouldn't think of putting me on anyway because of my age. doesnt seem like theres much out there for us post menopausal ladies. im not much help, but know you are not alone. take care.

    I'm about to turn 60 soon and postmenopausal for 7 years . i too still struggle with anxiety but as iv been through almost every horrendous symptom peri and menopausal gave me i think its left me anxious for life. Out of the 11 years of this journey iv oddly had three months free of symptoms and thought it was all over , that was dec, jan & feb of this year but OH NO im back to feeling dreadful daily. i can't have HRT as got a hormonal tumour on the brain. i thought my 50's would be wonderful but iv struggled each day to get through it. my anxiety is worse than ever, im scared of everything and even if i get an itch i think its cancer . i feel i cant carry on i have no energy ,my legs turn to jelly if i do even an hour in the garden. sorry i cant help you with the HRT .

    i used to say i hope we feel better soon but thats been going on since 2011 for me

    hi lm 63 last period at58 had smear last july one week later and every symptom of menopause back with morbid intrusive thoughts dr prescribed citralopram 20mg which have helped but last couple weeks thoughts back not as bad as before but still flooring me wonder if this is a blip or medication not working hrt not prescribed due to age anyone suffered same?.
