Hello Aria, by anxiety meds I assume you mean an antidepressent?

I personally take Lexapro, just start recently as well, they told me it'd take up to 4 weeks to start feeling the effects but I started to notice after 1 week, everyone is different. They also said once it starts to kick in I should give it 3 months for the full benifits. Sometimes people have to try a few to find out what medication works best for them, I know it sounds like a long time but be patient with it : >

Yes, I'm taking bupropion (Wellbutrin)half morning and half before bedtime ! In the first couple of days seemed like it was working, but now I'm still having a lot of simptoms and my heart rate is higher now around 100, before was around 75-80! I was wondering maybe side effect of medication but I looked up online and seems like this mendication does not increase the heart rate

Hm, I'd bring it up to your doctor when you talk to them next. I've only taken Lexapro so I'm not very informed when it comes to antidepressants but I've experienced side effects my medication doesn't list but others do? It might be helpful to write your numbers down, maybe add a little note, what your doing, how you're feeling and take it with you when you go to see your doctor.

4-6 weeks, it may make your anxiety worse before it makes it better. I'm on Zoloft, only week two, and my anxiety is through the roof.

It can take up to 4-6 weeks for it to build up in our system. Some meds can make you feel worse before you feel better, so just be patient. Take it the same time every day.

Which one have you been prescribed?

It took my almost 5 weeks to feel better at all, I still have some symptoms everyday and some are worse then others but for the most part I'm getting on way better than I was, I suffered for three months total but have been on meds for the last 5weeks well almost anyway, everyone told me 4-6 weeks to feel any improvement and could take a while longer to feel close to 100%

You are using the same medication or a different one?

I've used Celexa the whole time and I got buspar added 3 weeks ago which was rough for a cpl days but I've never looked back after that, it has made a huge difference for me personally I mean it could always just be the Celexa is getting built up more but I'm not sure all I know is that with that combination I've really started to feel better, I was on the couch for 2 months straight before starting medication and now 5 weeks later I'm working everyday and I don't have the thoughts running all day everyday liek I did, I know it's a long winded answer I just wanted to give you all the information I could

Yes, unfortunately one side effect to the cit is increased anxiety and over all in crease in symptoms, I still get that every here and then, this is also my first on meds for this and my first time ever experiencing anything like this, it's scary and up until 3 weeks ago I was convinced I had a brain tumor because of the anxiety and now it's my throat, I have a lump when i swallow sometimes and kind of a burning thing going on, I had it checked and was told it's nothing but gonna have a second check just in case when I go in for a evaluation on my medicine Friday point is the way we deal with it mentally is very important, it very much came down to me making a decision that I was over feeling that way and had to move on and get on with my life. Staying positive no matter what and looking for the silver lining in all situations def helps

I'm thinking to call and ask my Pc tomorrow to see what I'm supposed to do now ! He mentionto me that the med may increase the blood pressure a little bit but I run low so he was positive but my heart rate concerns me now ! I even get tired fast now , even simple things makes me heart to beat so fast !before med I did not have trouble with that

Def calling wouldn't hurt but I honestly think it's the meds I know some people have side effects for weeks after starting the medicine Safety is always the best option even if it's just reassurance. My blood was extremely high after starting and after my anxiety went through the roof, I would have different times through out the day where my heart would pound but it would eventually calm down a bit usually after cpl hours
