Anxiety n depression

My anxiety and depression is debilitating. Every day I convince myself I have a new disease and it's exhausting. Who would have thought anxiety could create physical symptoms to accompany the torment already going on in my mind.

I couldn’t agree more! I’ve had anxiety since grade school in the symptoms started in my late 20s. i’m in my 60s now and although I don’t worry anymore about them, they can be annoying and exhausting. I didn’t have them constantly all those years but enough to be upsetting.

One thing I can tell you is please don’t assume that you have diseases when you have the anxiety symptoms. I did that for years and I can’t get any of those years back. Definitely not worth it!

So I decided I’m going to get my yearly physical exam and then if everything is OK I’m going to live my life even with anxiety symptoms. it gets to the point where I had to make a decision do I want to be miserable constantly or enjoy my life.

depression is another thing. You may need a medication for that. It works for some more than others. Sometimes you have to try different ones. But speaking with a counselor can be very helpful. I can do that virtually at home which works great. I would advise that for you if you haven’t done so already.

I do hope you feel better soon but please get that support because this is difficult to manage alone as I have found out along time ago! take care of yourself ❤

Thanks so much for your kind words! sorry to hear you've been going through it as well for so long. It really does affect day to day life and I'm constantly worried and nothing really helps and if they do it's only temporary. As for my depression I was on medication and going through counselling but that just seemed to numb me out and not really fix anything. I just try to take it day by day and hope things get better, take care as well ❤
