I have been suffering from anxiety disorder for 5 months. I started taking medicine two months ago. Im 15 years old. My anxiety started when i had high blood pressure at school. I had to skip last month of school year. I couldnt go there this year as well. My psichiatrist changed medicine because it didnt seemed to be working. But he says its temporary. This night i woke up feeling numbness in my head. I was so sceared. I had feeling i was passing out. Now that i woke up im sceared that i will have that feeling again. I just wanna know is it common for anxiety? And can it be caused by lack of sleep? And how can i get rid of this😯

Hi! I'm almost as young as you and anxiety can be so scary sometimes sad I've learnt that it has soooo many physical symptoms and yes numb feelings in the head is definitely one of them! It's also a temporary symptom of a lot of different meds. I get that often and I drink lots of water, take a warm bath, go for a walk and try to distract myself, you probably know about the fight or flight mode your body goes into when anxiety kicks in, it causes a lot of harmless and temporary body sensations, hang in there xx

I'm so sorry you've been dealing with all this. sad But yes, what you're feeling is very common with anxiety. Try taking a walk or moving around to get the jitters out...you might feel a bit better. Try your best to sleep and rest!
