Anxiety or heart attack?

i have been woken up with mild chest pain on my left side thats also in my left arm. i had a EKG around two months ago and bloods but all came back normal. im convinved i have a heart problem but then also wont go to hospital cause i think its my anxiety getting the better of me. how do i know its 100% not a heart attack?

    The only person qualified to tell you that it is 100% not a heart attack is a doctor. Having said that, heart attacks do not last 2 months, they are an acute medical emergency that would effect you immediately.

    You may be suffering from angina or a similar condition, again, only a doctor can tell you that.

    With all that being said, I can tell you this, anxiety can cause chest discomfort, which in turn makes your anxiety worse and begins the process of a vicious circle of one thing feeding the other. The best thing I can suggest is visiting your doctor, explain to them that you are having long term chest pain and it is making you anxious and you would appreciate if they could rule our a physical illness to put your mind at rest.

    As someone who had various heart attacks once said to me, if it was a heart attack you wouldn't be sitting posting on here.
