Hi all

I have been told my symptoms are anxiety related. I do have vestibular migraines allegedly albeit I am having a hard time accepting this as a diagnosis, something which I am told is due to health anxiety.

I feel trapped. I feel like all I can think a out is how rubbish I feel and so I Google this to try and give me some info for the Drs to get ahead of them however this seems to make me worse. I am worried I am being consumed by anxiety but what if I accept this and then I stop looking at illnesses and there really is something wrong.

I have been lightheaded for a year, get palpitations shaking pains in shoulders and arms. Lately my jaw and face feel tight like they are locking.

I have however had a brain mri 2 ecgs loads of looks and all ok.

Please tell me this will end!!

    Hi there there,

I might feeling the exact same way as you. I never seem to feel 100%. I'm only 16 years old and im a boy, and my parents are worried as they think I'm depressed because I never talk to them. And I feel now that I am a bit depressed, I get worried that there's something's seriously wrong with me but they seem to think it's all in my head! I google symptoms and it comes up with a bad disease and then I think I have that, but even when they tell me to stop researching symptoms I think to my self what if there is actually something wrong with me and I just don't know itsad

You should get out more as I have learned that when im out I Seem to feel better as I don't have time to Be thinking what's wrong with me. Hopefully this stage in our lives will just pass as I want to feel normal again as im sure you do

If your GP says you are ok you need to accept that diagnosis and move on.

They have given tests and all came back negative, all I can suggest is that you need to accept the Specialists diagnosis as well.

Personally I would advise that you keep away from Google and other health sites on the computer

Try Relaxation Techniques, Mindfullness is the one they use at this time so look onto the internet and see if any explanations are sited there. You could also look on Amazon they may have books on the subject.

have you had your ANA checked? If it is positive, get checked for things autoimmune, like celiac disease. i had symptoms of anxity for years and the docs gave me xanax, it helped in the moment but there were underlying disease that was causing the panic and depression, that they never even checked for. IF i were stonger, I would write each of them and give them a piece of my mind.

    Keep trying!!!

    Hi

Reading this is like I'm reading about myself. I Google my syptoms constantly sometimes over and over again in the same day. Its eating me up and taking over my life. I have had every different type of cancer and recently thought I had mnd. ALL thanks to bloody googling my symptoms. I'm at doctors constantly questioning them. They assure me it's anxiety but then I start to think what if their wrong. I have tingling all over my body, shoulder pain, headaches, I twitch constantly and really think I have a neurological illness. Aswell as palpation's fatigue the list goes on. I' recently lost about 8lbs and thought I had cancer as this is a symptom. BUT my partner said it's due to stress. I understand completely what your going through and send you big hugs and please try and not google. Your symptoms sound very much anxiety related. it's amazing what physical symptoms this horrid illness can cause xx

Yes this will end. But first you have to accept your symptoms for what they are and that's anxiety. Second when you do get that's anxiety symptoms try your best to respond to them in a more accepting and unfearful way. By responding differently to your anxiety symptoms you are basically retraining yourself and your brain of that's how you want to react. It's all in the way you react to your symptoms. If you react in an anxious and fearful way then you're going to feel anxious and fearful. Make sense? Good luck
