im a 17 yo female. been having these weird ass symptoms for almost a year now, vertigo, ocassional panic attacks, feeling like the bed/chair is moving under me(yet i have no balance problems like i can easily balance on a narrow surface or on one leg w my eyes closed), sometimes globus sensation, tension headaches, neck pain, nausea, along with the impeding doom feeling. The symptoms aren't constant, they come and go, can last a few days at once, then disappear for a few days/weeks then appear again.
im very hypochondriac and im scared its a brain tumor. i always tend to assume the worst so i need answers

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I had the same thing happened to me when I was your age. I thought I had some horrible illness. The panic, the headaches, dizziness,, Feeling like things are moving, etc. yet all of my testing was normal. The neurologist basically told me to go on a vacation and relax. I know for sure that all of that was brought on by stress and anxiety because your body can only take so much stress before it has a breakdown and that’s what happen with me. Any time now that I get anxious I might get a couple of those sensations here or there but it’s nothing like it was back then.
we cannot diagnose on this site, but your symptoms do sound a lot like anxiety and stress related.
If you can just go have a complete physical check up so that you can relax knowing that everything is OK.
And remember that any symptoms caused by anxiety are not harmful even though they feel weird and scary. The best thing you can do is try to relax your mind as much as you can.
Is there anything going on in your life that may be causing you stress or anxiety? and remember that any symptoms caused by anxiety are not harmful even though they feel weird and scary. The best thing you can do is try to relax your mind as much as you can.. is there anything in your life that can be causing anxiety? feel free to private message me anytime!❤

thank you so much for your concern! ❤️ as for the things that might cause anxiety, im not really sure bc it all started back in summer before going to school and the symptoms are almost totally gone anytime im on a school break so it might be some subconscious school-related anxiety (cuz overall i dont have any reasons to be stressed bc of school cuz everything's always going smooth), but now i think the war in ukraine could be a huge stress factor for my anxiety spike-ups in the past 2 months bc i live in a country bordering ukraine & there's a lot of premises for us to be attacked too so that could definitely be the reason behind me getting these spike-ups more often for the past months

it makes complete sense that you have those symptoms now that you’ve told me the things you are concerned about. When we worry about things such as the war, etc. it can definitely bring on those symptoms that you are getting.
I really doubt it’s anything else other than stress and anxiety. Do everything you can do to relax your body and mind. It’s really important to take only one day at a time. There’s something called forecasting that people with anxiety do and I have done it myself. That is to look in the future and predict what’s going to happen. Nobody knows what’s going to happen in any situation in the future. The future does not exist now. The only thing that exists is today, the present moment.
Things can change quickly and it can also be for the positive. So don’t wear yourself out. I know it’s hard to stay positive about anything but just do your best. when I’m really anxious and stressed out, I keep myself busy as much as I can to keep my mind off of those things. Also when I help other people, it keeps my mind off of myself and what I worry about. ❤

Anxiety can also be dealt by doing physical and breathing exercise which helps in releasing feel good hormones known as Endorphins. These endorphins are like natural cannabis- like brain chemicals that can enhance the sense of well being in the person.

Hi, I experience very similar symptoms as yourself (tension headache - not painful, more like a tightness in the head which leads to brain fog and a stiff neck) if it of re-assurance then have been to see a Neuro and had an MRI - all came back clear with diagnosis of anxiety. Unfortunately, it does seem that some of us are more sensitive to our external environments - at home or at weekends I experience no problems at all.
