Anxiety or something sinister?

i am going to try to make this brief. i am also using voice to text so I apologize for any errors. For some reason the typing feature on here is so weird! So last year, I was having these headaches that were more like pains on my head and they weren’t very painful and they didn’t last very long but of course it spiked my anxiety and made me think I had a tumor. I was also having some vision issues and I failed the peripheral vision test at my eye doctor. I was then sent to an ophthalmologist and a neurologist. I had a CT scan and an MRI done of my head and neck. It was determined that I had an optic nerve Drewson which apparently isn’t really that big of a deal but it was making me lose peripheral vision in one eye. I have been followed by him for the past year. At my last appointment, after the exam, he said he thought we were on the right track and sometimes in this diagnosis happens but he believed he got it right. Of course that spiked my anxiety but I tried to let it go. And I think I did. Then I started getting those same pains in my head just a few weeks ago. I reminded myself that I had them last year and it turned out to not be a big deal. For the most part those have gone away. I also had very tight neck muscles and I think that possibly was contributing to the head pain. But then I started thinking about how at least my vision seemed OK. Of course as soon as I thought that I realized that when I look at things up close or within a few arms links away, sometimes it images are blurred. Like double vision. Of course Google tells me that that can be really bad. There’s one type of double vision that occurs when there’s something neurologically wrong. That seems to be the double vision that I am experiencing. it happens when I turned to the side and I glanced at some thing just right. But then when I refocus my eyes it goes back to a single image. I also noticed that when an object is moving and it’s close to me, it seems jumpy and really fast. has anyone had anything similar to this and if so did it turn out to be something minor or was it really bad like a tumor? A tumor is definitely one of my worst fears. If this was indeed a tumor, would I be able to refocus my eye or would always be double? I have a follow up exam in January with the ophthalmologist but I am considering calling him sooner. However I can’t decide if I want to do that because I do not want to ruin the holidays for my children. One of my biggest fears is having a tumor and leaving my young children without a me. can anyone shed any light on this? Please? i know anxiety can cause some extreme symptoms and really play with our minds. I have struggled with anxiety and healthy anxiety for so long now that sometimes I have a hard time knowing when I should take some things seriously and when I should let it go. I will also add that I currently have a double ear infection and fluid in one ear.

I am really freaking out and i am hoping someone will respond this time. My vision is getting worse. My right eyelid is swollen and covers part of my eye. I know its always been a bit droopy but even moreso now. When I google, it sounds like it is a cranial nerve issue which can be from brain tumors. I used to find some comfort in these board but i havent had anyone respond and its making me feel really alone. I am freaking out and i hate this feeling. It just seems like theres no other issue it could be other than a tumor. I feel so sad for my children!

Hi!
Are the pains in the back of your head pains, or is it more of a dull feeling like someone's pushing on the back of your skull? If so, that's normal for sinus infections as I struggle with them myself.
I'm also a fellow hypochondriac, so I completely understand how you feel right now. The past few days I've had numerous different headaches related to my sinuses along with bad brain fog and convince myself of the same all of the time. i would encourage you that if you are extremely worried about it to seek medical help. The sooner these things are caught the easier they can be treated if it's the worst case.
Aways remember though, 90% of the time most headache causes are nothing serious.
Try to take it easy, and have a great Christmas!

Thank you for responding. It’s more of a pushing pain but honestly the pains have gone away. However it’s still my vision that has me very concerned. It seems like there’s not many explanations for my vision other than a tumor causing it.

Headaches seem like hormonal headaches i get them often like
icepick.
Vision issues sounds like your prescription may have changed.
The double vision linked to tumours doesn't follow that pattern.

i have no symptoms of gerd. ive had gerd symptoms in the past but this is not even similar. I worry bc they say brain tumors cause pressure beadaches that are worse in the morning and thats what has been happening to me. Mainly inky on one side. I just finished the meds for my sinus infection so i can no longer pretend like its from the sinus issues. I am really scared and worried.
