Anxiety or what?

Hi all I'm a 25 year old male, for the past 2 months I've been getting chest pain, I've been in hospital a few time because of this and had blood tests done as well as ecgs and a chest xray all come back normal, I am waiting to go for a ultrasound on my heart in a couple of weeks hoping it all comes back normal. But I keep getting told it's anxiety although I don't belive it is. The pain I get is all over the left side of my chest along with a burning pain on the left side of my sternum, only last a couple of minutes and goes away, but I get a little bit worried none the less, I keep getting heart palpitations and I can feel my heart beating really hard and heavy sometimes, I generally feel unwell almost all the time and I'm so fed up of all the pain, has anyone ever gone through anything like this that could help or give advice please? Thank you for reading.

Read throught the threads and see
Its a switch in your brain that is broken its telling you your in danger when your not
Wait to see the result of your scan if that comes back clear then it is anxiety.
Consider therapy for anxiety it teaches you how to cope
Stay Strong

I can totally relate to this. Read my summary post in this forum about my experience - it may help.
However - what you are feeling does sound like Anxiety. However, you must rule out any real heart issues - hence the actions you are doing [ecg, scan etc]
The ECG would have picked up any regular irregular issues. However, what it does not do is pick up any arterial blockages as such - however at your age I suspect theres more chance of the marshmellow man from Ghost Busters being real than you having blocked arteries :-) but do wait for the Echo [ultra sound].
Once that comes back clear and your blood tests are clear - you can then work on how to address the anxiety issue.
In terms of your pain - I get the very same thing and if you want to do a simple test - do something to totally divert your mind when it happens next. Go outside in fresh air and bounce a ball and put it in a hoop or something. It has to be totally different and engage your brain. You may find that the pain / ache in your chest goes temporarily....

Hopefully once I have this scan will be able to give me the all clear.
I just hate feeling my heart beating and it feels really heavy and I'm always aware of it driving me insane but I think that might be because I'm worried about my heart at the moment.
