Anxiety/panic attacks and physical symptoms

This is my 2nd time posting here! I love the support and reading other people's experiences on here btw. I am 23 years old and For the past 3 months I've had severe physical symptoms of what I thought were actual problems happening in my body. Got checked with every possible test and everything turned out normal! My doctor hasn't say it's anxiety just yet because we wanted to make sure I'm healthy overall. I know it's anxiety, I've seen panic attacks on YouTube and I can relate so much! I get heart palpitations and chest pains and don't get me started on my breathing, I have have this urge in my body to take a deep breath every minute and when I can't I try to get it out of a yawn and sometimes I can't even yawn all the way. It's horrible, I try to keep myself busy because it seems to make me forget my symptoms even though I have them every minute of every day. I am on natural pills for anxiety, I have started to walk every day despite always being dizzy as well! I feel like there is no hope for me! I get scared when people tell me they've been having this problem for years because I'm here thinking this is only the beginning for me 😩
It all happened in August when I had a panic attack behind the wheel on the highway with me 2 year old in the back seat, I still don't know how I got off so fast and was able to call my husband for help! Ever since then I don't know what it's like to breath normal or be my normal self for that matter. I haven't drove since then and can't be in a store or public place for more than 10-20 mins without feeling lightheaded and short of breath! I am not an anxious person nor do I stress a lot. I'm fortunate to have a supportive husband and my family living with us to help me. My heart goes out to anyone going through this alone! It's hell!!! I purchased Himalayan pink salt to make this water called SOLE, I've heard that it helps a lot of people dealing with anxiety. I will try it Saturday and see what happens! I am open to try anything besides medication which will be my last resort! Has anyone tried talking to a Cognitive behavioral therapist? I have heard that they do wonders in taking away your fear. Has anyone went the natural way to fighting this? And I don't mean just exercising because let's be honest, Most people with these symptoms can barely get out the house 🙋🏼. Please share your experiences! I'd love to hear from you all! Thank you for reading my post!

Hello rigena! I literally felt like you were describing me the whole time! My panic attacks came back after i gave birth about 2 years ago. I tried everything. From therapy to meditation. Everybody is different though. I never tried CBT. I must recommend lavender oils. It's amazing lavender has been proven by science that it naturally relaxes you. and i also recommend getting an oil diffuser and putting lavender in it and medating before bed and when you wake up! This will make you feel more calm. I rely a lot on lavender, i also have the lotion. I know how you feel about going to stores. I used to get so dizzy my knees would feel weak and i thought i would pass out, i'd also recommend bringing some gatoraid And someone you trust with you& force yourself through the process. And most importantly i'd say to talk to someone about it. I unfortunately resulted in medicine to help me i'm on zoloft 50mg i'm 20 years old. If you do feel like it does get very bad there's no point in suffering when medicine can make you feel happy and enjoy life again. But before medicine i'd say talk to your doctor and a therapist they can help the most. I wish you the best of luck& hope you recover!!!!??????

Thank you so much for your advice! I have lavender oil that I used to put in my diffuser but I bought the fall collection and forgot all about the lavender! I'll definitely try it again! I have nothing against medicine, in fact at this rate I feel like I'm going to need it! My mom has been on sertraline for 5+ years now and she has never felt better! I just wish to have the same luck as her with medication if it comes to that! Since it's pretty early for me I want to try natural things before even though every day is a struggle for me even for it being only 3 months. Has your doctor told you how long you should take your Medication and when to stop? If medication helps me I'm scared to stop because of withdrawal but I know you can't stay on it forever.

Yes, I totally agree on doing it naturally first. Medicine should always be the last resort. But never feel like there's no help because the medicine will make you feel great again! My doctor told me after about a year she's going to help me slowly come off of it. I believe zoloft would be your best bet. from my personal experience and also reviews from other people! Good luck

Oh absolutely! I will take medication if I have to! My mom takes sertraline for 5 + years now and she has been better than ever! I'm just scared of side effects and then not working and having to keep changing them 😩

Hi Rigena. You have all the symptoms of anxiety !! The list is endless and it is a horrible, horrible condition. I agree with you about not wanting to go down the route of anti depressants, and although they work for some anxiety sufferers, they also add more symptoms to some people, as they did in my case. They are never a long term solution anyway. I suggest you try a website CBT4panic. It explains all the symptoms of anxiety and how you can deal with it. I'm sure it will be a help to you. I have other suggestions for you to try regarding books to read which have been a great help to me, but you will have to message me if you want them cos am not allowed to name them on here. Luv Lily xx

Thank you for your response! Have you had the same thing? If so how have you overcome it? I believe in medication but I want to try to remove this anxiety and not just mask it with medicine even though medicine sounds so good right now 😩 I hope and pray to find a natural solution I will share it to the whole world if I ever found it! There's a lot of YouTube videos about anxiety and I will try just about anything for some relief!!

Himalayan salt has iodine in it but not as much as table salt, and btw it also depends on the foods you eat that are enriched with iodine. I take medication for hypothyroidism and I've been eating table salt all my life. I heard drinking this water and pink salt called SOLE every morning one teapsoon in your bottled water helps with anxiety symptoms because it has 84 minerals the body needs, also whenever you have anxiety that happens out of nowhere it can also be caused by mineral deficiency. Over 80% of people have magnesium deficiency and don't even know it. That can also cause anxiety for no apparent reason. I'm doing alittle more research on magnesium citrate though!
