Anxiety, Panic, Euphoria?? Please Help!!!!!

Okay so I’ve been teeter tottering with this for 10 months now and I’m just getting more and more curious, but at the same time I’m having more and more panic attacks. Is it normal to have bouts of euphoria after major anxiety and panic attacks? I started a new job tomorrow will be 4 weeks. I was having a lot of anxiety the week before I started as I left my last job because my anxiety and panic attacks were going through the roof, and I thought it was because my job was so boring. (I have to stay busy, and I’ve always been this way) anyways i found a job making A LOT more money as well as a lot busier. My first 2 weeks there I was perfect. I had some anxiety, but very little as well as controllable. I slept better in them 2 weeks than I’ve slept in months. Then last Sunday, I was getting ready for church and I had a panic attack, I ended up staying home but felt better as the day went on. I then had a panic attack every single morning on the way to work this week and felt terrible bad and anxious for half the day. Then I would feel okay for the rest of the day and was still sleeping just fine at night time. Then on Friday I had my “usual” panic attack on the way to work, only this time the fatigue and anxiety drug on well into the day. It was in the late afternoon before I found any relief. And then it was almost euphoric. I was talking a lot and just felt really good and relieved. I slept perfect that night and then yesterday happened.... I woke up in a panic attack and ALL day long I was anxious, and tired, I didn’t want to leave home, but my husband made me get out and go shopping. I didn’t sleep all that well last night. However I overslept this morning and had to rush to get ready for church (I had to go, it was my week to teach a Sunday school class) and I felt anxious all through church then I got irritable. My husband took me to get something to eat and I have felt fine ever since then until tonight I almost feel like I’m on the verge of another panic attack. Is all this normal with anxiety and panic attacks?????

Hi!
So you've been getting a lot of panic attacks, which definitely is a sign of an anxiety disorder. I highly suggest you see a doctor because they can help ease your suffering. I used to get panic attacks all the time. Do you know if something specific triggers it? If you can figure that out you can try exposure therapy which is a way to expose your mind to what is causing you panic, and your mind eventually learns to not feel panic when in that position. However, of course sometimes with panic disorders there is no trigger.
The euphoric feeling you are describing might be your mind releasing noepinephrine. (Im not a medical professional so please don't take my advice as such) But during a panic attack your body releases epinephrine (the flight or fight response) this causes your increased heart rate/panic feeling, then when your body comes down from it, it releases noepinephrine, which is a calming chemical. Think of a time when adrenaline was pumping through your system, like if you were waiting for a test back in school..... When the anticipation is over and the adrenaline subsides you feel calm, and slightly euphoric. This COULD be what you are experiencing- again not a medical professional.
I really do suggest you see someone because there are SO many things you can do for panic attacks and you shouldn't have to suffer through them!
hugs

Hi again! So it seems like your panic attacks started at a stressful time. So with anxiety disorders, they can remain dormant like other diseases and a specific event can cause them to resurface. My anxiety was at bay for years and then when I graduated college and got a "real" job it came back. There are medications specifically for panic attacks that can work SO well. I would tell your doctor everything you said here! You are not alone, so many other people experience this!! I think that definitely helps.
