Hi guys. I started taking 20mg Prozac on Monday so this will be my 7th day. Last night I felt really weird. Like a moving sensation or dizziness when I was in bed. I felt sick and my heart was racing. Is this a side effect ? And how long does it take until the side effects settle ? Thank u x

    Hi Rachel,

Im currently taking 40mg of Prozac and have been now for almost 3 weeks im not new to this medication as I have had it in the past. You can get terrible side effects Im still getting them now nausea, loss of appetite, feeling spaced out, headaches, dizzyness. This medication does tend to make you feel worse before you feel better my panic attacks and anxiety have been through the roof these last few weeks and even though i know it has always disappeared with this medication it still frightens me to think how many more days i have to feel like this because before it gets better.

Just stick with it you will feel better soon i promise x

I remember thinking that the side effects even though there weren't nice we're better than the anxiety i was suffering from. I can only describe when the meds start to kick in as seeing everything In technicolor and a warm glowing feeling.

Nausea was one of the side effects, keep going and give it time it depends on the individual.
