Anxiety Relapse after years.

Hey everyone,
I've been suffering from anxiety and panic disorder for the last 10 years.
Through out the 10 years, I had two major relapses. All the symptoms came back with vengeance. Can't eat, can't sleep, can't breathe, can't stay calm, nauseated, panicking, dizzy, fainty, trembling, shaking, headache, afraid, etc...
The last relapse\setback came back last week after 4 years of freedom. I still had my normal ups and downs. I even had a couple of Panic attacks, which didn't affect me.
Now for the last week, I had all the above mentioned symptoms non-stop. I started googling everything, worrying about everything.
It's been a hellish week. My dr. increased my Lexapro to 10mg after years on the maintenance dose 5mg. I know I've gone through this before, but, I honestly don't know whether I'll make it this time or how long will it last. I slept almost 5 hours through the whole week.
Does anybody have experience on when this will pass? I honestly can't remember. I even can't remember how happy I was befor this.

hi
me too very similar
always had low anxiety but also had periods of high also over years felt in controll by relaxation and meditation to reduced med down to lowest dose very very slowly
now 3 weeks ago relapsed into high anxiety but very reluctant to increase meds up again as worked so hard over 3 years to reduce to lowest dose.
hope you feel a little better knowing you are not the only one I have realised lots of people have anxiety.
love kath

I am so sorry for you to have to go through this. I relapsed after 12 years. i managed my anxiety 12 years ago with just therapy. This time I started meds as well cause I felt so bad. I am getting more good days but still suffer from setbacks like today. I have a pain in my eye and convinced myself it could be fatal. eh, it makes you feel so so tired. But stay strong I know you will feel good

I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you get well soon. I've seen a couple of good days as well, and then all back to where I started. I'm bound to bed and cable leave it now.

I also had relapse of anxiety. I was also on laxpro 5 mg which was increased to 10 mg. The condition got worse on increasing the dose but after two weeks started feeling better. so stick on to the medicine and give it some time and you will be fine. At the same time go for morning walk/run and do breathing exercise , it really makes difference

I'm on my 4th week now. I had some very good couple of days, and then, back to square one. I don't know if this is normal or not. I was hoping that by the 4th week I become normal again, which didn't happen.

I'm in a state of mind that doesn't allow me to move out of bed. I tried going out yesterday and I almost fainted due to panic. I just hope that these are side effects from increasing the dosage. I was hoping it would go away after 4 weeks, but it didn't.
