anxiety symptom?

just trying to figure out when i first started suffering from anxiety, when i was a kid i remember watching televsion when suddenly it felt like the telly was miles away in the distance and on other occasions when in bed that the room seemed huge and things seemed really far away , happened quite alot but i was no more than 10 or 12 a the time ,is this an symptom of anxiety? got it again there recently just started me thinking

    Yes, this sounds like anxiety symptoms. Anxiety and panic attacks often give you the feeling that you're dettached from your surroundings. Has anything traumatic happened while you were a kid? It doesn't have to be something really scary... sometimes even losing your favourite toy, as a kid, can cause emotional trauma that if not dealt with can internalise and later manifest as anxiety.

      nothing traumatic springs to mind, i do know it was a sunday night when it first happened to me  maybe school the following morning is all i can think, just something i must bring up wit counsellor and try and get to the root of this thing, it used scare the living sh*t of me is all i can remember

      Its not usually as simple as identifying a trauma,that's why psychologists are skilled at what they do. Best to see a skilled therapists and not get involved with self therapy or pseudo psychology on an internet forum. Its simply not safe

      understood , just wanted to know if it was relevant to bring it up at next session wit counsellor see wat she makes of it
