Anxiety symptoms? Burning and Pins and Needles

Hi all,

I'm Ben and new to this forum long time anxiety sufferer.

I'd beating it for years only for it to come back recently following a very distressing MRI scan which I won't go into fully.

My issue is I'm having very bizarre symptoms this time such as pins and needles and burning under my skin. I'm hoping someone can shed light onto my symptoms and whether anxiety can truly cause them to happen even when I'm not feeling anxious.

My main symptoms are as follows in two areas first ones being more recognised symptoms second set not so:

1.

  • constant ringing in ears
  • blurry vision
  • memory fog
  • left eye constantly twitching
  • muscle twitching
  • pins and needles in right hand and right leg sometimes on left but mainly right.
  • burning in my legs and feet but again mainly on my right
  • burning in my lower back and in between groin and thighs

the burning is that bad I feel extremely hot to touch

  • I get sensitivity to touch so when I tough things I feel pins and needles
  • lower back pain and back pain in general
  • all these symptoms are constant throughout the day and it's extremely uncomfortable.

can anxiety do this in regards to the burning etc?

All feedback would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

I have heard of people with anxiety who do get the burning sensation. I have never had it but I have had all of your symptoms in the number one category.

i’ve had ringing in the ears since my late 20s when all of those other symptoms began. I’m in my 50s now and when I am anxious some of those symptoms will reappear. i’ve also had the muscle twitching on and off for all those years. That doesn’t bother me because I know it’s not harmful.

I am sorry you are going through this. I know how frustrating it is for sure.

I really hope that you feel better soon take care.

Did you ever have chicken pox, if yes get tested for shingles and be on the lookout for a rash, most likely on right side as it usually affects one side!!

if rash appears get antivirals right away.

my wife has had 3 times.

Do you check your blood pressure regularly? The ringing in the ears can be caused by that and anxiety can definitely cause high blood pressure!

Also stress, physical and emotional, is a big trigger to activate shingles.

I had mild can when anemic from surgery.

Ben, I have similar symptoms to you. Tinnitus that comes and goes, as well as burning skin on my feet, groin, between my legs, neck and face. Sometimes it's so bad that it hurts to walk.

I'm feeling really depressed about it because I don't think it's ever going to get better. I've had these symptoms for nine months now.
