Hello Christina I can relate entirely to what you're saying. I have had anxiety all my life and never really felt nauseous. However during this recent bout of anxiety I have! It's new to me and not nice! I,m losing weight because I can't stomach food which is causing even more anxiety. I've not had a serious attack for four years now. I know why it's happening but it still gets me and it sucks! I wish you well and hope you feel better soon. E.

I get the nausea all the time with my anxiety. I been going through I rough time the past few months an the morning is always the worst for me. I wake up an I will start sweating, heart will race an I feel like I have to throw up. I hate it I have to push through it for my little ones. If it wasn't for them I probally would never get out of bed.

I can't eat neither I weighed 118 an I am now 102. My stomach can't handle food because my nerves are to bad.

    Heya,

I know exactly how you're feeling. I went through a phase of feeling sick most days (and EVERY night). It was horrible, it makes your tired, grouchy, stressed and confused. I also used to get neck and head pains as well as pressures and tightness/tension. It's pretty horrible, and very fustrating! One thing I do have to ask- are you eating enough? When I felt really sick, I didn't eat much because i felt sick which actually made the feeling sick much much worse! Just double check your eating habits to start with- when i noticed my poor ones it improved how i was feeling a lot!

Something else i'll suggest is homeopathy- i know it sounds silly, and when i was reccomended it I swore it wouldn't work. But I bought some lavender oil, geranium oil and citrus (lemon) oil. The lavender really calmed me down, just dabbing a bit on some tissue and putting it under my pillow (or for during the day i actually put it down my bra haha) and it worked wonders! i forgot it was there and it had a really calming effect on me. The gerainium helps you keep a positive mind set, preventing stress and anxiety. Lastley the citrus is just quite refreshing, and can make you feel a bit less nauseated. Obviously these oils won't get rid of your symptoms, but it will help your anxiety which will in turn help your symptoms die down.

Another is putting a warm wet towel/cloth on the tense areas of your neck, and just gentally massaging the painful/tense areas. I used to get a friend to give me shoulder rubs every now and again, and although it was painful it really helped iron out those tense muscles, gradually getting rid of the headaches.

If you're feeling really sick and nothing will get rid of it, you should try keeping a 'thought log+ reality check'. I've reccomended this to a few people now because I did it through this stage and it really really helped me. In your thought log, just write down how your feeling- physically and mentally, don't be afraid to spill it all out! That's what it's for, to let out your feelings etc. Then, on the next page, I would do a reality check. I used to do this because I had a fear of throwing up, and everytime i felt sick i was terrofied i was going to be throwing up. So i would write in my thought log, e.g. 'i feel really sick and i now can't sleep because i'm scared of being sick. My throat feels tight and my stomach hurts and feels unsettled' etc, then on the reality check page i would write 'i probably wont be sick and it's most likley just my anxiety. i'm also probably just feeling sick because i'm hungry or nervous'etc. Obviously you have your own train of thought, but that's just an example.

If i think of more techniques i'll be sure to add them onto this answer, but i hope those ones help in some way! honestly try out the oils and the pages, it really helped me when i was feeling like you (exactly like you!). All the best smile

Hi there thank you so much for this post and so late at night too! Bed is calling.....hoping for sleep but I  will check the forum AND your ideas tomorrow. Thanks again. E. As a ps. Because it is my big concern at mo and I suppose I'm looking for reassurance , did you experience weight loss through anxiety? Thanks again. Night.

Yes I've experienced that before. For me when I feel like my anxiety has dimished, it eventually comes back and whe, it does it hits harder than before. So maybe that's what's happening with you.

I would do deep breathing so that the blood vessels won't contract tightly and also massage the tense area. A heating pad also works for me.

I heard lavender and chamomile relaxes people, i might try aromatherapy for my anxiety.
