Anxiety thoughts

Hello, im in my teens and I've been having bad anxiety for about a month. I haven't seen a doctor or anyone about this. But at this point i noticed that my thoughts are really affecting me. I keep thinking "what if this is turning into a severe mental illness?" " what if ill never live normal again" "what if ill be stuck with these thoughts forever?"

I've had about 4 panic attacks in a month. I don't know if I should go to the doctor and what if they put me on medication? Im scared of the side affects. Someone help please.

Honestly this is normal with anxiety

. Your best bet is to see a naturopath preferably one that is also a pshyciatrist or see a regular pshyciatrist . I almost when and am going through the same thing. There could be so much in play. Ethier something could be low Level in the brain like serintonin levels or gaba or something or it could be linked to the stomach. That's why some say if it's the stomach proper eating and cutting habits could be the cure . Still though I'm no doctor just a lot of research! See a specialist and they will put you on the right track . If you prefer natural meds and help see a naturopathic doctor . Yeah it's gonna cost you a pretty penny but worth it in the end

During puberty, the body will go through changes as children become adults. Along with these physical changes come mental, emotional and social changes, and these can all impact on mental health. I  would say is there anyone you can talk to parent, sibling, friend, teacher, counsellor. Early intervention can prevent your anxiety becoming worse and prevent it becoming a long term problem. Talking therapies are really helpful, CBT can  help you deal with overwhelming problems by breaking them down into smaller parts. You're shown how to change these negative patterns to improve the way you feel. School counsellors should offer this.

If it is affecting you badly i'd say go to a doctor and tell them your concerns for taking medication. You could always try to go to a counselor and talk about coping strategies and stuff. Look up natural ways to ease anxiety like herbs or incense. There are other ways besides pills to deal with anxiety so I'd just talk to your doctor about how you feel and if you can possibly avoid meds and ask him about other ways you could try to deal with it.

Hi Isabel, I would say go and talk to your doctor. You don’t have to take medication if you don’t want to go down that route. The most important thing is to talk to someone about it. Have you spoken to friends or family about the way you are feeling? I used to bottle it all up when I was younger and the one thing I’ve learnt is that being open about how you feel makes it more bearable.
