Anxiety with eye sight

hi guys, im feeling afraid to go out at night or basically look at the lights. i do computer work and recently, ive been looking at the traffic lights and notice glare sight when i look at street lights too. Not really bad though but i just feel imperfect and maybe something wrong with my eye. i have floaters and that does bother me much. i'm not sure if its normal to have glare or halo when we look at the street lights. i mean i never noticed but recently eye health triggered me and thus, it gives me anxiety. i do wear glasses. My astigmatism is in the 200 to 300 range. I'm scared to look at my computer and street lights.

    Hi

You are probably worrying over something that is quite normal. If I go outside and look up to the sun and then try to focus on something indoors, I see halos, dots, flashes etc but they soon go away. Why not make an opticians appointment just for your peace of mind, it would stop you worrying.

I went to the optician when i was making my glasses. Theres nothing except that my astigmatism went up. Thats all. I know when you look at the sun you see halos and starburst. But im just afraid at night. When i look at the streetlights, and stare at it. i see halos or glare. I mean of course if my glasses is dirty there will be starburst. Im just scared

I believe your symptoms are common with astigmatism although I do not have this I understand that it can be very dibilitating. Are you having it corrected with contact lenses or glasses?

Yes . I have it corrected with glasses. Is it normal to see glare when you look at car headlight?

Yes this is common. There are many testimonials on the web re this very thing.

my vision was like that in my late 20s,I'm now in my early 60s,I'm very near sited. I had many eye exams when I was younger, all clear, sometimes dry eyes can caus it,or a partial pvd,you can look that up,or probably because you are very near sited etc. Just go to an optometrist or opthomologist, not an optician. Get a check up,probably nothing to worry about. I am older now and have a mild cataract in both eyes, pvd and dry eyes, but my age is the main factor with all of that. Try not to worry, you are probably fine.
