Hi Jenna! how are you feeling?

I do believe it can be anxiety related. Many years ago I had a really bad breakdown with my anxiety and I couldn't sleep for days I had to go to the bathroom half an hour everytime and I peed myself outside like three or four times during that period of my life (sorry tmi!).

It subsided after I sort my anxiety out for that time.

Started with anxiety four years ago. 5 to 7 mg diazepam daily. Got uti few months ago, after several antibiotics urine is clear but i am up at night to loo several times.  I think its anxiety. Dr has tried several antii deps but all made me feel terrible so now not on them.  I think i have depression, all things point to it.  WhT do i do when psychiatrist cant try any more meds?

I’m actually going to the doctors tomorrow because it can also be a UTI so go to the doctor and make sure it’s anxiety.

Hi Jenna! This can 100% be related to anxiety. When I am very anxious or coming off a panic attack, I sometimes need to pee every 10-20 minutes. When I am feeling normal and not anxious, this is not the case. It is pretty common for anxiety from what I understand.

Welcome to the club. It's possibly one of the worst symptoms that can happen because it feeds itself. It's also a normal bodily function that can't be avoided.

Get yourself to a doctor, make sure it's nothing else. I have had countless amounts of tests and the urologist seems almost certain that it's purely mental. Please don't suffer in silence because it will only make it worse in the long run.

Hi Jenna, I to have suffered with this to and yes it can be anxiety related if everything else has been ruled out.  After many years of this problem I know have a diagnosis of stress incontinence and have tablets for it which help with the frequency/urgency, first started 7 day courses at worst times which resolved it for a short time to now being on them constant.   Its worth noting when its worse before speaking to your doctor about it. ie certain times of the day, situations etc.  Hope this helps.

It is definitely true! I thought I had something seriously wrong with me when I had to start going to the toilet 8 times an hour! It turns out it was my health anxiety making my bladder so over reactive.

When I got better it went away after a while x
