Any cheap tricks for helping phn pain?

Hello, I'm 28 and have had PHN since I was 17. There was a period of about 3 years where it went away, then it came back about 3 years ago. I'm at the end of my rope here, the pregablin and lidocaine that I use are the only things that help and I'm building a tolerance to the pregablin so the pain is getting worse and worse. I can't work, trying to get on disability but they say they won't have an answer for me until 7 months from now, so I have hardly any money. Are there any free or cheap methods of reducing the pain? I can't do dietary changes unfortunately because I get all my food from food pantries so I can't be choosey
