any connection between colds and being pain free

i can't believe i caught this cold from my husband and neither of us have had bad colds or coughs for decades.  anyway for the past 2 days although i was coughing and sneezing i did not have any pain or discomfort from ls.  i'm trying to figure it out.  not that i want to have a perpetual cold but i was so thankful for 2 whole days in remission - felt really good.

You are going to want to be permanently sick!! No, I haven't noticed that I have been free from LS when being sick in the past. Perhaps you just had a lucky break for a few days, it happens!

thanks jan - i kind of thought that silly thing too about always having a cold.  one thing i considered is the fact that i spent 2 days in bed and not sitting down which some say makes things worse.  maybe i was so "out of it" that there were no feelings of stress from everyday living.  whatever, i consider it a blessing.

Yes Eileen you might have the right idea about lying in bed, not sitting and less stress. Next time I am sick I must give that some thought! I have just had 3 days with no symptoms whatsoever. I feel as if my life is just beginning again! All I have done is use my castor oil mixture at night. I even took a break from the Desitin cream which I am supposed to be using for 3 months for a lesion. I still can hardly believe this, each day that goes by with no LS symptoms is a miracle. smile

way back in the day the slightest illness and doctors would prescribe bed rest for long periods of time.  now to convince my husband he's in charge for a few days (when do i feed the dogs?  how much water do they get?  how often do i let them out?  what's for supper and how do i cook it?)

Yes, I have noticed a type of remission when I get sick with anything else. Maybe we produce more T cells to fight the new sickness, and that helps the Ls. Maybe gamma globulin infusions might be helpful, as my immunologist/allergist has recommended.

thanks cynthia - i'd be interested in hearing about gg infusions if you have them.

First to get gg infusions, u have to prove to insurance(I am.on.Medicare), that I produce little antibodies, by getting tested after a pneumonia shot and or tetanus shot. I haven't gotten that far yet. The doctor says with gg there will be no more LS. Kind of hard to believe, but I know it works for other conditions. Will let u know if I try it!
