Been having panic attacks more recently then a few years ago. I think they are menopausal related.
Any one have any natural remedies? They are pretty challenging these last few months.

my hormones were out of wack and i met this MD that was very knowledgeable about hormones and began giving me 0.5 mg of Estriadol with 50-100mg of Testosterone IM every month. I could titrate the Testosterone between the 50-100mg. Those injections changed my life. No more hot flashes, mood swings, anxiety, and my sexual health returned. Unfortunately, this doctor was in his 80's and he passed away. Nobody gave the injections. I finally found a doctor who sent me to a specialty pharmacy where they made the combination in a sublingual troche and he included DHEA liquid in a sublingual form. These are natural occuring hormones in your body that mine stopped producing. I also take Projesterone 200mg in a capsule at night. Thats a hormone that helps you sleep. You can try yoga and learn to breathe and meditate when you feel the anxiety coming on and have Ativan 0.5mg by mouth on standyby. Im a nurse and i couldnt live without all of this.

I also take natural hormones and went through menopause without any symptoms. Highly recommend it. I also have had panic attacks that occurred after having a MRI which made me extremely panicky and claustrophobic. I went to a naturopath who told me to change my mindset when the attack was beginning, and to prevent it from coming on. For example, as soon as a elevator door shut, I would start to panic, so he told me to picture myself somewhere that is calming for me, which in my case I used the beach scenario to picture in my mind. Eventually I could get in to the elevator, fly without being medicated and it was because thinking of something pleasant made the event pleasant in my mind. I also tricked my brain when I felt one coming on by breathing deep, looking at one thing, touching something, hum a line from a song, use all five of your senses to distract yourself, which then directed my thoughts in a different direction. I also reminded myself that I was not going to die from a panic attack. This calmed me as well.

Not so long ago I had a panic attack and it was related to the stress and worry. of seeing my ignorant TKR surgeon. I dont see him anymore and i havent had another attack.
I hope you find the reason for your panic attacks!!

My daughter has panic attacks, she wears a necklace with a lave stone that she puts a drop or two of lavender oil on. She also has a diffuser that she uses at night mostly with lavender oil. If the attack happens at home she talks a bath with epsom salt, baking soda and lavender oil. It really helps her.
