Do you wash your penis with soap, and shower gel and suchlike when you take a shower?

Do you use skin cream or moisturiser of any sort on it. Do you use oil based Lubes such as Baby Oil?

What you need to look to is what is regularly happening for the skin on the head of your penis - for the majority of Men, it is what they are inadvertently doing to the skin of their penis that causes things like this!

Get back to me and we can take it from there ......

Hi Todd, so from this day henceforth, no soap on the head of you penis, do not clean it with any other bodily cleansers such as shower gels and lotions and such like. You need to keep exposure to all bodily cleansers to as near zero as possible - my guess is that most dermatologists would likely say there is no other cause of this other than repeated exposure to soaps and so on ....

Sorry, one other thing I forgot to check is whether you are circumcised? The foreskin plays a critical role in helping to maintain a healthy skin on the head of the penis .. so this will really help me knowing whether you are intact?!

The other 'missing ingredient' you have, as you mention is the correct form of moisturiser for the head of your penis. And this is where knowing whether you are circumcised or not comes in: you may have heard of smegma, to maintain a healthy glans / head of penis you need to have healthy smegma, and therefore the correct hygiene practices to achieve healthy smegma. What smegma does is to provide a natural lubrication or moisturising action for the skin of the head of the penis.

Unfortunately, this cannot be achieved for men who are circumcised as the natural lubricant dissipates with no foreskin to protect it.

Once the natural balance of the skin on the head of the penis is restored you can then look to add-in an additional moisturising agent to keep the skin of the entire penis from becoming dry.

Another essential don't do is to use regular skin creams and lotions as these are based on petroleum oil - what you need is a natural pure plant extract, and obviously the ones with natural skin healing properties are the best ones to go for. The first one to try would be liquid Coconut Oil, with an alternative being Aloe Vera gel - both are relatively cheap at the likes of Superdrug or Savers stores if you are in the UK.

    Hi there,

My glans looks the same and it has since I can remember. I'm not circumcised, but here my story: I was born with frenulum breve (short foreskin) which due to negligence of my parents (despite two cuts while still a child) was removed only when I was 24. Further to that, I have a mild form oh phimosis (tight foreskin), which is still there and is one of the two factors causing/contributing largely to the problem but which nobody ever tells you: 1) the most important one: masturbating excessively since a very young age, which if done dry, taking into account the tight and short foreskin causes further tention to the glans skin and causes immense damage (most if the times, short and tight foreskin is accompanied by inelastic skin, which worsens everything); 2) cleaning up the glans after masturbation: I thought toilet paper/kitchen roll was ok, huge mistake! The other factors listed above I agree, soap will do you harm and of course, if you are circumcised, it's also the constant exposure. My personal experience: I have been laughed at because doctors know, or at least with me it is the case, that I started masturbating way too early (12 years old but I was a late bloomer in puberty so my penis was clearly not fully developed yet), I did it way too often (every day, sometimes two to three times a day), and I had all the other problems listed above. The last urologist I went to told me "It was your decision to do what you did, now you have to deal with the consequences". Sorry for being that honest and should you have found any remedy, please let me know.

It really is grounds to start a class action lawsuit to where a bunch of people come together and sue the government, They were literally propagating completely false information and lessened the quality of sexual life for thousands and thousands. Even some docs circumcise now in a way to where it would be easy to grow back. But the point is they should have to discuss the 17 uses that are being sacrificed while getting rid of an organ which it is. The government shouldn’t alow child mutilation unless it’s for religious purposes which is only true in the Jewish and Islamic faith . even then I think they should have a choice but I’m About to unpackaged that
