Any idea what this is? Had it for years

over the past few years, i have had a red purpura type spot come up on my forearm. it would just appear out of nowhere and i never could understand what caused it. image this is the before picture.

only now, years later, have i come to realise that there must be a weak blood vessel under my skin, because if i rub my finger firmly over the area, i can cause the red spot to appear.

this is the spot after I've firmly run my finger over the spot causing it to bleed under the skin.

any idea what it is? or what could be causing my blood vessel to be so delicate that it breaks that easy?

i don't mind the spot and I'm not really worried about it. I'm just really curious.

im 45 years old. female. with red hair

I think you've diagnosed yourself! It looks like an angioma, quite common. They can be cauterised if it bothers you but if you are in UK it probably wouldnt be done on the NHS.
