Any idea what those symptoms could be?

Hi,

I'm a 22 year old male, and I've been very healthy my whole life. In October 2015, I started developing several symptoms and it's been worsening ever since. At first it was just worrying me, but now it has degenerated to the point where I can't go to school or work anymore. No doctors could find what it is and don't want to bother with tests because I'm "too young for it to be anything serious". I don't know what to do. If someone had a similar experience, please shed some light on what it might be. Here's a list of the symptoms I have in the order they appeared.

October 2015: Blurry vision, gait problems

November: Headaches

December: Burning pain in certain areas, usually associated with small soft lumps under my skin in those areas

January 2016: Confusion, extreme fatigue

February: Abdominal pain, blood in stool

March: Heart palpitations, hypnic jerks, chest/arm pain

April: Eye twitches

No new symptoms ever since, only the same symptoms getting worse everyday... Please help me, I can't take this anymore...

Forgot to add: I've had several tests that came back normal. These include blood work, ecg, rmg, head MRI, chest X-ray and colonoscopy.

    That sounds horrible, Sbesozzi,

At least they did all the tests and couldn't find anything, but it must be a worry for you, especially when the doctors say you are too young for it to be anything serious. That in itself aounds ridiculous. I know of people in their twenties who have had total joint replacements, which is only supposed to happen when you're much older. There are young children with serious  health problems.

Could you not ask for second opinion?  I definitely would. And it sounds to me as if you could also do with some medication to help with your anxiety over this.

I know from my own experience how stressful it can be when you have symptoms that a doctor cannot diagnose successfully. I am going through this right now. But because of the lack of medical expertise, I have to wait three months to see a consultant. It's scary to say the least, when I was told it may be a slow growing cancer.

I would advise you to ask for a second opinion and make sure you take someone with you to your next consultation.

Good luck with everything, and let us know how you are.

    Hugs, Sasha.

Do you take any medcations including eye drops? Many of them have bad side effects.

Thanks for the support. The only medication I take is mirtazapine for anxiety. I've been taking it for 4 years with no side effects, except being a bit drowsy. Occasionally tylenol for the pain.
