Does the wavy lines start small and get bigger blocking out yr vision also?
It's migraines that do this. x

Are you experiencing any type of "Tunnel Vision"? Basically, you can only see what is in the centre of your vision and around the outside is either blurred or wavy lines, that is what I call them anyway.
Are you taking any medication of any sort for other ailments?

Les.

This sounds like a migraine.
Ibuprofen can cause a number of side effects, these vary over time and the periods you are taking them, the less the better. But they can cause headaches, dizziness and kidney failure with prolonged use.
I tend not to take them anymore, I did take them myself until I read the side-effects, so I started taking Paracetamol. These have side effects as liver and kidney damage, but only if taken more than the recommended dosage.
I am surprised if you suffer from Fibromyalgia, that you are not on a more specific drug, and under either a Consultant Neurologist or a Rheumatologist that specialises in treatment of musculoskeletal disease and systemic autoimmune conditions.
Has your Doctor never refered you to see either one of these specialists? Most cases of Fibromyalgia would be seen by a Rheumatologist whom would prescribe the correct medication for you. I would certainly ask for a second opinion regarding Fibromyalgia, and being taken off Ibuprofen at least - that is a lethal medication if taken over long periods, and you should not be on it.
I would ask your doctor for a referal to see a Rheumatologist and get correctly diagnosed.
You will probably find the sight issue is also related to Fibromyalgia, or Ibuprofen.
Hope that helps you.

Les.

Can you not change your doctor, to one that is more understanding and knows more about Fibromyalgia. The disorder is quite new, even in the Government Outlines it is only mentioned twice, but in the British Medical Journal it contains a 17 page document, which is a big difference and is one of the reasons why PIP Applications are turned down, because the health assessors have little knowledge about the disorder.
I would ask for a second opinion or change doctors, he/she sounds useless.

Les.

What you describe is exactly how my Migraines are. I could tell they were starting as vision seemed a little of. Next I would see theses zig zag aura in one eye. These would last 15 minutes. At first I thought it was a vision thing since no headaches. Later on headaches began to occur after aura. I was on inderal low dose for awhile to prevent them, eventual stopped taking as I didn't think I needed it. So now if I feel one starting, I take prescribed of Maxalt. Works good! Also if didn't have that taking Excedrin worked if taken right away.
