Have you has swab results back from the lab yet? Do you know if it's HSV 1 or 2? It sounds like you need a longer course of anti-virals to help clear the outbreak.

Epsom salts in your bath are good for drying the sores and are very soothing. Ice pack wrapped in a towel is good for some relief. I was given some lidocaine to help numb the pain a little.

L-lysine is a good supplement to prevent future outbreaks and help healing

what medication have you been given? are the same bumps over the month? its a very long time for the same outbreak to be active. i have acciclovir and thats a dose of 3x a day of 400mg for 5 days. so sounds like you need more to repress it. i would go back to the doctors.

salt baths are my saviour, doesnt need to be any special kind of salt i just get the cheap stuff from the super market and tip a load in. you need to really dry of the sores. loose clothes on the bottom half and try to not wear underwear when your at home. let as much air get it them as possible.
