I have been on Lexapro for about a year and a half. When I first started the medication it worked wonders, and as many do once I felt better, I wind myself off of it… Only to have my symptoms come back a month or so later. I tried coping with the symptoms of depression and social anxiety and everything else, but they continue to get worse. I went back on the Lexapro shortly after that and my system went somewhat back to normal. All in all, I never had any harsh side effects from Lexapro only some mild sexual issues… Loss of libido.

Today, the Lexapro is not working as it once did, and I really don’t want to just keep increasing dosages. I think my body got a little immune from going on and off of it.

I tried and Trintellix and Viibryd but neither seem to agree with me. At this point, the Lexapro is not working as it once did, and I really don’t want to just keep increasing dosages And or playing games with medications. I think my body got a little immune and or playing games with medications to the Lexapro from going on and off of it.

My doctor perscribed me Prozac while I was In between medications, only to control with drawl symptoms. From what I remember, it’s someone agreed with me, I don’t recollect having any issues as I did with other medications. Tomorrow I plan on transitioning from the Lexapro to the Prozac. I am unable to find any good information comparing the two medications.

All in all , If anyone could shed some light on their experiences with either just taking Prozac or going from Lexapro to Prozac or vice versa, any input would be greatly appreciated.
