Any long term success stories?

Having read horror story upon horror story where pregabalin has ruined people's lives, I'm wondering if it helped anyone long term without the side effects and permanent neurological damage you so frequently see.

All the positive reviews are from people who have just started taking it, so it can clearly help in the short term. But anything over a year's use or so, most people say it started losing its efficacy. And anything longer than that I have yet to see a single positive review.

Even my psychiatrist says they thought it looked promising a few years ago but all they have now are problems so he said he wouldn't recommend it.

It's just so tempting to try it and see if I am one of the lucky ones where it works well without side effects for the long term. I guess anxiety makes you desperate enough to try anything.
