    Hi,

Not sure which country you're writting from but when I visited my GP to ask for a test, to see if I am peri (I'm 57 so presume I am!) she said there was no point as our levels go up and down daily and was no indicator!

I also asked for blood tests to show my vitamin and mineral levels, rather than self-diagnosing, and she said they can't do that either!

I did have blood tests for thyroid, liver, and a couple others!

Not sure if it's just my practice or general in UK? Other women have told me their GP have requested a whole Vit/min test.

    That's been my recent experience!

Perhaps try another Dr at clinic!

Thats a shame there are no other tests (I am UK) . I suppose it must just go on symptoms then but it makes me feel like i have some horrible disease or infection. I get these awful butterflies/anxiety feelings in my stomach which make me feel really horrible then I get a hot flush. Loosing my hair, no concentration, tired, insomnia, sweats, my candida/ME illness has got much much worse. I guess I need to go back again to lady doctor and ask if this is meno. I had tests like you for liver thyroid...well everything and all came back normal apart from female hormones (border-line peri-menopause) but my symptoms seem a bit extreme for border-line. thank you for your input

Your GP may do them just be firm and ask!

As for anxiety, if there's nothing special causing these attacks, why not try Kalms, I find them useful in taking the edge off anxiety

      Good luck

I don't know how they can test estrogen levels but ask for them to test your progesterone level all you need is a blood test for that. Also ask for a thyroid test adrenal test and all the vitamin test to see where your levels are.

I hope this answers the question

    hang in there
