    Hi Rachael,

Sorry you are having to go through this.

I also have PCOS and just thought id let you know that there is loads of support out there for you. You can actually take something called Clomid which helps your ovaries to produce more eggs. As for me, I have just had to failed cycles of IVF, one fresh cycle and a frozen embryo transfer. Both on the NHS. I also have only 1 tube which is blocked. My other tube was also blocked but unfortunately I lost it to an ectopic pregnancy so now only have 1 tube left and that's blocked too. Even though you have PCOS you can still get pregnant, it just may take you longer than others. With you trying for 18 months, you can go see your GP to discuss other options. You may need Clomid to stimulate your ovaries and this may be the only thing you need to help you get pregnant. Your GP may also want to refer you to a fertility clinic so if this is the case you can check to see if you get fertility treatment on the NHS. We ended up being referred to Midlands Fertility Clinic and my Husband had to have semen test done which was normal, it was just me. I know woman on there that have PCOS and just needed Clomid and there now holding baby's so check it out with your GP. It only takes 1 sperm to fertilize and egg so who knows.... Clomid should definitely be considered hun xx

    Hi Again :-)

Glad to hear that your 1st appointment is booked. It is hard when other people around you are pregnant, my sister in law found out she was pregnant just before I did then obviously I lost the baby not long after but she carried on to have a beautiful baby girl. My other sister in law is also trying and she has now also booked an appointment to see her GP as she has been trying for a while so they will carry out some tests for her too. Well done on the weight loss :-) im a size 12 after at the moment but feel like I've put back on again :-( its all about eating the right foods when you have PCOS. I've smoked too and although its not good while your trying to conceive, stopping can make a huge improvement to your fertility. I had to stop 3 months prior to starting my IVF cycle. I hardly drink either, only if I go out with friends and special occasions but with having my IVF ive not been able to drink for a while so ill be making up for it over xmas lol.....

Ive always said good things come to those that wait so who knows 2014 could be a great year for us both :-) Wityh regards to your husband, mine was taking Pregnicare tablets but for Men and it makes the sperm healther so I would ask him to give them ago and also get pregnicare conceive for yourself. Its hard when other people don't understand what your feeling and what your going through, especially when you are having to go through fertility treatment, it can be mentally and physically draining at times and even financially draining when you are having to fund fertility treatment yourself.

I do hope it works out for you. PM me if you fancy a chat any time :-)

    Hi,

Yes you can get the conceive rang which is designed to help you while your trying.

I have 3 nieces, 2 are twins and my sisters little girl is 1 at the end of January. My sister was about 21 weeks when Id lost mine and my sister in law was 10 weeks when id lost so it seemed everyone was getting pregnant around us. I totally understand how you feel, I was exactly the same but I didn't want my sister know how I felt and to be honest she did try to avoid me as she knew what I was going trough at the same time so didn't want to upset me any more than what I was. We will both get there hun, just you wait and see xx :-)
