I have had a few good days, yesterday better than today. I am however all congested and have a wheeze , I have been fighting this for three weeks, is this a fibro thing? I just got rid of my primary doctor as he was not letting me see him for this. Each week I would call for an appt, he was full. On top of it , the last time that I saw him, I said that I was starting to wheeze , he said I was fine. 3 weeks, I got phlegm

Although not probably directly caused by the fibro, fibro is auto immune related so we are more susceptible to viruses and infections than others.  Depending on where you live, it may be an allergic reaction to grass or pollen.  Particularly if you have any rapeseed fields nearby - its well known to cause congestive and sinus problems.  If your phlegm is at all green in colour, its a chest infection and you may need antibiotics - hammer the doctor again.

    Hi diagnosisalie,

i find that the initial illness isn't related, our ability to fight it is. I know it takes me much longer to recover from almost anything since developing fibro.

Hope you start to recover soon. Gentle hugs xx

You could definitly do with seeing a dr , as it could be a chest infection you would need antibiotics. fibro can cause breathlessness. but Ive not know fibro to cause wheezyness. you get wheezyness with asthma chest infection. if the phelm is clear no infection if its green its an infection. take care gentle hug x
