Any regrets?

Hi I am booked in for a THR in June and am fairly clear about the procedure and aftercare which I believe can be very slow and painful. I have read some good stories but does anyone regret having this procedure and why? I ask because my pain is bearable with co-codimol and I am still quite active. I am 63+. Thanks

Absolutely no regrets, I feel amazing and also like I just got my life back after 4 long miserable years suffering and barely able to walk. I'm now in week 11 of recovery not one single complication except for a stiff thigh in the beginning but making sure I was diligent with my self rehab that is gone. I was able to walk with no limp and without walking aids at week 5 and knew it was only going to get better which it did. I so far have had an amazing outcome so it was worth the few weeks of difficulty recovering compared to years of suffering.
