I feel I'm at the stage where I need some of my colon removed due to the
continuous pain I'm in and any food makes the pain worse.
As anyone had some removal ? have you been left wearing a bag ?
How bad was the operation to get through ?
Would Anyone who's been through a operation for diverticulitis
please let me know how it was for you and has it made things better or worse.

I had a colon resection due to diverticulitis and had no bag. I will never regret having it. i got my life back feel normal again. Eat whatever i want too

That's great to hear .Can I ask which hospital did your operation ?
I've been told my sigmoid colon is in a bad way but they don't want to operate.
I'm 70 and don't want to spend the rest of my life being unable to eat but
The consultants don't seem to understand what it's like to be hungry all the time
but unable to eat anything .
I had my gallbladder removed but it's made no difference.
