Any Successful Treatment of Hemorrhoids Without Surgery?

Posted , 5 users are following.

I have been suffering for the last six weeks with a large hemorrhoid and despite creams, sitz baths, hydrocortisone it is still troublesome. I am very reluctant to have surgery and see it as an absolute last resort. So I was just seeing if you have any home remedies or alternative medical treatments that you find work to alleviate your hemorrhoids. Would be great to hear!

Avoid the surgery unless no other options present themselves. If surgery the only option spend alot of time educating yourself well in advance.

Non surgical options such as creams and baths have varying degrees of success and the effectiveness is individual.

only thing that might work is a good diet, if the diet don't fix it the surgery will.

no home remedy will work .

banding did not work for me ( did it 6 times)

surgery did work ! but i must warn you , it is the most painful thing you have experienced multiplied by 10 .

    good luck

Unfortunately this is likely true. However, you never know. Exhaust all options before surgery.

Thank you for all your comments and feedback. Any form of "surgical" intervention is the absolute last resort until I feel I cannot live with it anymore. I have made efforts with increasing fibre in my diet, drinking more water and eater cleaner. I am using Anusol daily and essential oils on the area which seems to help but it will not completely shrink away. It is not causing me too much pain, just long periods of sitting I have a dull ache in the area. Doctors have confirmed that it is hemorrhoid's and nothing anything more sinister as tests and examination are clear. I have had hemorrhoid's since the birth of my second child and I have always managed to clear it when it flares. But not this time... So I think to give it time and then assess whether surgery is the answer. But again if anyone has a remedy that works for them, do let me know as willing to try anything to ease them!

ice and 400mg motrin with 400mg tylenol will deffinitley help with pain, if I were you get Hemmerectomy and be done once and for all..if you have experienced alot of pain with hemmeroids the procedure is not that bad, first 6 weeks hurts, but tolerable with good diet and pain killers, you will be so happy you did it, oh and if you ever had a anal fissure the surgery is a walk in the park compared..
