Any symptoms before the actual pain hits?

I have been getting stones since 18, I'm 25 now. Most have hit me like a ton of rocks (no pun intended) however my last stone something strange happened. Only at night when I would lay down for bed I had the overwhelming urge to urinate. It was a nagging pressure in my groin area. And then a few days later I woke up and had to go to the ER for a stone.

We'll two years later, this morning I woke up early for a family outting and I peed on myself. I was shocked. I had no urge to go. And while in our car ride to our destination this overwelheming urge to urinate came up so fast I didn't make it to the bathroom in time (so embarrassing). And now the same sensation is back, that nagging pressure in my groin area. It doesn't hurt at all. Just bothersome.

So I guess my question would be do any of you guys have certain symptoms that let you known you're getting a stone before the actual pain comes? Because I'm freaking out. I feel one coming on.

The question perhaps is why you have not had anything more permanent done?

To suffer for 7 years seems unbelievable!

    But you are in US?

Yes I am. I'm in the states smile

All together I've had about 9 stones. And the urologist I went see gave me a 24 hour urine exam and told me to drink more water. That's it.
