Any tips / advice for getting through side effects of Citalopram?

Hi everyone

I am now on day 3 of taking citalopram and I've started to think I've made a big mistake these side effects are horrible nausea, no appetite, stomach ache, burning sensation, intense anxiety, faster pulse, dizziness, just want to cry all the time.

Does anyone have any advice on how they got through the first week / 2 weeks? How long is it this intense for does each day get better?

Thank you

in 2/3 weeks the side effects will disappear and you start to feel the benefits of the medication. Long walks and plenty of rest is key for the first few weeks. Good luck

hi there I'd been on citalopram for lots years but had a break the last year. I've recently had to go back on them & all the symtoms are back again. Nausea my worst symtom .. it's not nice for sure but they do definitely get better. A few weeks down the line you will feel the benifit. I have nausea pills from g.p that help with it .
