dont stop it cold turkey you can have seizure if your on 5 mg cut it to 4.5 for a month then 4.0 the next has to be really slow.

please do not go cold turkey. I was on Klonopin for 7 years . long story short somebody stole my prescription. I was on 1 mg 3 times a day . I do you not know how I skipped the seizure part of it but I went straight into horrible psychosis I did not know what was real or what was wasn't real . I was having hallucinations like never before it is extremely scary looking back it was extremely scary looking back at it. unfortunately a family member do the things that if you take these medicines you're a drug addict I do not have an anxiety problem instead of taking me to the emergency room or calling the ambulance they call the police and put me on a 72-hour psych hold. after they forced shots of Haldol and me with no luck it made me worse they gave me a shot of Ativan and that solves everything. I am now taking diazepam. I've been on it for quite some time and have a tolerance to it now and would like to switch back to I've been on it for quite some time and have a tolerance to it now and would like to switch back to Klonopin
