Hi Tina, yes I have suffered buttock pain, and also for a time I experienced pain while sitting, in my coccyx area really, which I knew would result, when I attempted to stand, in absolutely excruciating pain for about ten seconds. I wonder if anyone else had this. x

Thanks for your reply, do you remember how it started did the buttock pain come on sudden for you or was it minor pain that progress?

Hi Jeanne, I am currently dealing with this. Yesterday when I stood up I had this excruciating coccyx pain but then it settled. Today I woke up with it and nothing I do seems to help 😟 Sorry Tina I haven't had the buttock pain so I can't help with that.

      Hi Lisa,

Sorry to hear you are suffering with your coccyx. I do sympathise with that awful pain when you stand up, but can offer no advice, other than to say that for me, my pain moves to different areas, so it may not be permanent. x

    Hi Jeanne

i get the pain in my coccyx quite a lot. When I get it I have it for a while and then it calms down. I don't have it at the moment but sympathize with you as it's an excruciating pain when you stand up.

Sorry Tina I've not had the pain in my buttock so can't offer any help with that at all x

Hi Alison, yes it's the same for me, it's calmed down at the moment, but when I have it and I'm sitting, it makes me not want to stand up, as I'm scared of the pain I know is coming! x

    Hi Tina,

My buttock pain is inconsistent; I get it now and again, and started suddenly, but has never got any worse. As we know, with fibro, everyone's symptoms vary, but with me, I seem to get pain that comes and goes from different areas. At the moment it's my neck and shoulders, although I do have arthritis as well, my lower back, knees, and right heel. But ask me again in a few weeks and it could all be quite different!

Just a thought, but have you seen your GP about your buttock pain, as it could be something unrelated to fibro? x

Hi Tina..I've actually had it for the past week. Yes I'm sure its related. Suddenly it will disappear and some other weird symptom will replace it! Does it feel muscular, as if the muscles have contracted ? And really painful? Mine is really bad in bed and mornings, but eases off as I move around...its a pain in the a***!!! X
