Anybody got worse after surgery?

Hello, I'm 11weeks post mesh rectopexy surgery for intussusception and a rectocele.

Since I had my surgery I've had severe back and abdominal pain on and off every day and it doesn't seem to respond to pain killers.

My constipation is also way worse than it was before my op. Before I could have a bowel movement on my own but now I struggle to do it without some assistance (irrigation or digital) as it feels like things are just too tight now.

My rectocele was definitely gone for the first few weeks then I felt the bulge again and it seems to have returned and be worse than it was before.

I've had an appointment with my surgeon and he said I'm just healing slowly but I things just don't feel right. I know back pain is normal with this op as I've had the mesh attached to my sacrum but I can actually feel the pulling on my spine where its been attached and I can scream from shooting back pain.

Last week I was having severe abdominal pain so much so I started physically shaking which has never happened to me before. I couldn't move and I was close to calling an ambulance.

My specialist told me if I need anything to call my bowel nurse and she can get me an appointment with him if something is urgent but she NEVER answers her phone so it's just pointless and frustrating!

Might be worth mentioning that after my surgery I was readmitted with a bowel obstruction because drs said I didn't need laxatives after surgery then I later developed an infection so yes I'm healing slower than normal.

Wondering if anyone has been through similar issues after surgery?
