Anybody having balance issues? Also tummy troubles?

I've already been to a ENT and all is well(I though an inner problem may be causing the balance issues), but sometimes I'll be walking and then I just feel like I'm leaning or walking crooked. I've had acid reflux since my 20's and it's been fine until this past week. Of course when the heartburn started I thought about my heart of course. It just seem like you go from one symptom to another and your mind goes to the worse case scenario. health anxiety is the worse. Then some symptoms go away and come back, some go and stay gone. It's a rollercoaster!!! I'm on meds for the acid reflux but the doctors say it's not unusual to have "breakthrough heartburn". Last week, I was great, felt great, good mood. This week my tummy is messed up, had a complete meltdown Tuesday after I got home from work and just cried and cried. Menopause is not for the faint of heart.

Hi Juanita.
I get the balance issues. It's awful..
Been having it for a while.
I'm 42 and in Perimenopause.
I've had every textbook symptom and more! It's just horrible.
The balance thing and occasional jelly legs is nasty. I sometimes feel like I need someone to support me whilst walking. It's scary at times and so annoying.
Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you Dora. I'm going to make myself go to a work picnic tomorrow. Sometimes doing things that take my mind off things helps.🤗

I agree . Heads all over the place. Just feel that hrt has made me worse not better and as you say minor pains put you in panic mode that it's something more worrying. Just been promoted at work but now I'm worrying I won't cope even though I have been doing the job as holiday n sickness cover for over a year !

Congratulations on the promotion! Sometimes at work I feel stupid around the younger ladies. I shouldn't, I'm good at my job and have a Master's Degree. I think I just want to retire, while I'm in good health.

Juanita, you said it so well. This is definitely not for the faint of heart! One day is okay, the next day not so much... the health anxiety is the worst. Know that you’re not alone. 🌸

Thank you ladies! Just knowing I'm not alone makes me feel better. Here's the deal, every time I go to the doctor I get a clean bill of health. I want to stop worrying and enjoy life. Menopause really messes with your head. I feel blessed to have found this forum.

Hey hun, vertigo is a classic menopause symptom which is probably causing the balance issues you are having. You may need to look at your diet aswell as the gut gets very p****d at the hormone imbalance we go through at this time so have a look at what you are eating and drinking. For example I have given up any dairy, no butter or cheese or milk. I use a vegetable based whitener which a lot of them are, for decaff tea or coffee. No added sugars or salts in meals or sauces, wholemeal bread you get the idea I'm sure. Sensible eating, increasing salads and antioxidant veg will help too. X
